Jack Lalanne, the late and legendary father of modern fitness, made some great juicers to compliment his fitness regime. Jack Lalanne juicers were more popular back in his time, but still very good juicers to buy in the current market, albeit slightly on the expensive side. The best Jack Lalanne juicers are centrifugal juicers, which are powerful and durable.
Jack Lalanne Juicer Reviews
Jack Lalanne PJP Power Juicer Pro
This Jack Lalanne juicer sports a polished stainless steel look which would definitely go well with any kitchen that aims to impress. It has an extra large chute for you to dump your fruits without having to bother cutting them up. This I like very much. Lazy Mike kicking in. When the motor starts, the juicer doesn’t make much noise. In fact it is a rather subtle juicer. No worries about waking up your snoring girlfriend (gets whacked on the head by said girlfriend).
The blades and mesh filter are likewise made of stainless steel and has little trouble juicing hard fruits as well as leafy greens and wheatgrass (there’s a trick to juicing leafy greens and wheatgrass though especially if you want to maximize your juice output). Simply roll your leafy greens around the stalks or hard fruits and push them down the chute. And presto! Fresh fruit/veggie juice coming your way. Bear in mind though that you might need to stop and clean the mesh after 3-4 glasses of juice. This is because while the pulp collector has a large capacity, the mesh filter will clog up thus reducing the juice output. But otherwise, cleaning is a breeze and assembly is a piece of cake. Jack Lalanne JLSS Power Juicer Deluxe
This Jack Lalanne juicer is similar to the previous one in terms of aesthetics and functionality. On the upside, the non drip spout is a well thought out design as it enables you to stop the juice from flowing out while you change your glass /mug/pitcher.
It’s also super quiet and assembly of the juicer is a no brainier. However, the drain hole simply does not cater to the speed at which the motor can juice. In short, I feel that it is undersized. Either that or the motor performs too well. Buy this model here.
Jack LaLanne PJEB Power Juicer Express
This Jack Lalanne juicer also caters for whole fruits at one go. A very attractive feature in my opinion. However, if you throw in a whole fruit, the time it takes to juice will be slightly longer than other models with smaller chute. Hence, it is always best to slice your hard fruits in half at the very least if you are impatient for the juice. This will probably also prolong the lifespan of the motor.
Sometimes the pulp that comes out can be rather wet. I guess it depends on the type of fruits or veggies that you juice. Pineapple pulp comes out wetter than that of apples and pears. This is not a masticating juicer after all. Overall this is a decent juicer well worth its money. Buy this model here.
