Having a glass of fresh wheatgrass drink everyday can help your body get nearly all its needed strength. But one can’t have that fresh drink without having a wheatgrass juicer. This is exactly what my girlfriend says every single time we talk about wheatgrass juicers.

Best Wheat Grass Juicers 2016

With just so many choices of wheat grass specific juicers on the market, just how does one choose between them? Firstly, price is an important factor. According to your budget, you’d be able to narrow down the options quite a bit. The next thing to look at is if you’d want a manual or automatic wheat grass juicer. Only then would you need to look at the functions. Anyway, here are the top three wheat grass juicers that I have tested so far.

Handy Pantry HJ Hurricane

61zYJ+WoLuL._SY355_This wheatgrass juicer may be a little on the expensive side but nevertheless, it’s cheaper than most stainless steel juicers out there so it’s value for money. It has received a lot of positive customer reviews and is generally highly recommended.

With no plastic parts included in its manufacture, it’s made of heavy duty material that doesn’t rust yet it’s not difficult to handle so you can juice a considerable amount of wheatgrass in about 5 minutes.

It has a very high efficiency with great extraction and is very easy to clean either by hand or by using a dishwasher. It attaches to most counter-tops and is very light in weight. The best part yet? Five-year-warranty and 30-day full money back guarantee if you don’t like it.

Summing It Up: Highly recommended. Lots of great features, easy handling and cleaning and a long warranty. Read my full review on this wheat grass juicer here .

Lexen Manual Wheatgrass Juicer

lexen-healthy-wheatgrass-juicer_001In case you’re looking for a cheap juicer that can extract not only wheatgrass but also a wide variety of green leafy vegetables, then Lexen Manual Juicer may suit you. It’s not made completely of stainless steel, save for the clamp at the bottom, end cap and grinding plate but this is actually a pro of a wheatgrass juicer as it remains sturdy yet lightweight and easy to carry when traveling.

On the top of it, it’s very easy to clean with only 3 parts to wash and no internal screen to worry about. The only con you may have to worry about is the small size of the hopper, which leaves you needing to reload often and it can be a bit of a hassle especially with leafy vegetables.

Summing It Up: Recommended especially for the low price, but it comes only with 1 year warranty. Click here to pick this wheat grass juicer up from amazon.

Miracle Exclusives MJ445

41nMMAnVpnL._SY355_This is the most expensive wheat grass juicer we’ll list here although honestly, it’s very similar to Handy Pantry Hurricane. Made completely from stainless steel, it’s a high-quality juicer that can extract leafy vegetables and soft fruits.

It’s very sturdy and strong, but a con about it is that it takes some time to give results and a lot of turning the handle (and that’s heavy on its own so extra difficulty) which can make the process tiring for your arms. This is especially a downside if you like to juice large quantities or for multiple servings. Easy to clean as well so no worries on this part.

Summing It Up: Very similar to Hurricane but a little on the stronger side. Recommended on its own but Hurricane is a good alternative if you’re trying to save some cash. Amazon has a great offer and you could pick it up at a discounted price here.

Wheat grass juice doesn’t last long and the human body can only ingest 4-6 ounces of wheat grass juice daily. Which is why it’s best to juice in small quantities of wheat grass at a time. If you like, you could even water it down. This is a much better option compared to juicing large quantities of wheat grass at a go (and wasting what you don’t drink).

Masticating juicers also juice wheat grass, together with practically anything else.

Best Masticating Juicers

Best Masticating Juicers

Omega-J8005-Nutrition-Center-Single-Gear-Commercial-Masticating-Juicer-300x300Masticating juicers are among the numerous types of juicers available in the market today. Typically, they spot an auger that turns at 80-100RPM’s on average. Literally, it chews up the fiber of fruits and vegetables. Perhaps the only challenge is that, if you are used to centrifugal juicers, you will find the masticating process a little bit slower. Although the process is slow, the results are highly efficient. This can actually be one of the factors that buyers put into consideration.

Best Masticating Juicer 2016

A masticating juicer is known for its single blade and gear. This explains why it doesn’t work with the same speed as a centrifugal juicer. Prior to buying a masticating juicer, it is important to have as much information about it as possible.

Omega 8006 review

omega 1I have had this masticating juicer for a couple of months. I decided to buy it, even though I knew from the onset, that it is slower than centrifugal juicers. The thing that attracted me the most was the fact that it is more efficient. The Omega 8006 spots very useful features such as extremely dry pulp and automatic pulp ejection. The other plus was that it doesn’t make much noise while operating. What is more, I find it very easy to assemble, clean and even manage.

Although I find the juicer quite slower, this comes with some benefits. For instance, it neither clogs nor foams. Besides, the dual stage system of juicing associated with this juicer helps to increase the efficiency. The fact that pulp ejection takes place automatically, allows the machine to continue juicing. I would say that it is the most economical juicer model I have ever used. Even with the least produce, say fruits or vegetables, I get the highest amount of juice. Lastly, I have since fallen in love with the versatility offered by this juicer. From grinding coffee and spices to extruding pasta, mincing garlic and herbs, I find it extremely useful.

Summing It Up: Recommend, excellent performance and silent operation. Pick this juicer up here at an amazing price.

Omega 8005

k2-_6414b99a-91b1-47ff-90b0-8a45968f533c.v1The Omega 8005 is a superb masticating juicer. I can confidently point out several features that make it stand out. For example, the juicer has two stages of juicing. This ensures a higher efficiency as far as juice production is concerned. Its great versatility is something that amuses me as well. I make baby food with it for my six months old little girl. Besides juicing and food processing, I also use it as a grinder as well as a homogenizer. This model of a masticating juicer is slower compared to the centrifugal ones. However, this significantly helps to prevent potential clogging, foaming and heat buildup. Better still, who wouldn’t love a juicer that comes with a 10-year warranty? It will fit in any environment- especially where perfection in juicing is sought.

Summing It Up: Versatile functions and amazing juicing abilities. Read my full review here.

Best Centrifugal Juicers

Best Centrifugal Juicers

A centrifugal juicer is an upright device with a super fast spinning mesh chamber read to whip up whatever fruity goodness you place inside with its extra sharp grinding teeth. This works by spinning and shredding the fruits, vegetables, and leafy greens until they are mixed into a pulp, before making their way through the centrifugal part of the juicer wherein the pulp is transformed into juice after funneling out a mesh filter. This is a great way to hone your skills as a juicer, improve your health, or contribute to days filled with great workouts backed by nutritious juices.

Best Centrifugal Juicers 2016

Centrifugal juicers come in a wide range of prices. You can find these guys starting at $40, and working their way up into the three hundreds. The sky is the limit! But it’s important not to sacrifice quality, otherwise you will find yourself wasting lots of time and food. A bad juicer is code for big disappointment; for that reason we’ve collected a little list of some of our favorite juicers by Breville, Acme Supreme, and Hamilton Beach.

Breville 800JEXL

Breville-800JEXL-Juice-Fountain-Elite-ReviewThis is an elite centrifugal juicer at the top of the price line yet with the Breville reputation that makes it worthwhile. It’s a 1000 watt juicer that comes with a recipe book and it has die-cast steel housing as well as a quality stainless steel filter and is proven to really extract every tiny bit of juice. You can feel good about this investment knowing nothing that goes through it is wasted.

Summing It Up: Excellent extraction ability , large feed tubes and powerful motor. Grab this juicer here at a discounted price.

Breville BJE200XL

Breville-BJE200XL-Compact-Juice-Fountain-700-Watt-Juice-ExtractorA less expensive Breville still offering great quality is the 700 watt Breville BJE200XL. It comes with the stainless steel filter and is perfect for folks looking to try their taste buds at a raw fruit diet, without wasting money on a super cheap juicer that’ll ruin the entire experience.

Summing It Up : Dishwasher safe parts, compact design and powerful motor. Follow this link if you’re interested to learn more about the Breville BJE200XL.

Acme Supreme Juicerator 5001

$_35Something neat about Acme Supreme juicers is that their design hasn’t changed drastically over the past 30 years. Not only does this say something about the long-lasting quality of the design, it also means you can get an older model with as much impact. They’re also very easy to clean.

Summing It Up : Classic design, quality assured and amazing price point. Click here to read how the old school Juicerator 5001 worked for me.

Hamilton Beach 67650H

k2-_0a829dee-975f-4822-9ade-70f6ee29485f.v1This juicer is at the bottom of the price range, but we’re really happy with how well it does its job. It takes on whole foods and juices upwards of 30% more than its competitors in the same price range. It’s also got that stainless steel mesh which makes transforming from pulp to juice very clean and effective.

Summing It Up : Recognized brand, stainless steel cutters and large feed tubes. Click here to grab the the Hamilton Beach 67650A.

There are Centrifugal juicers that would accommodate any price range. So the key would be to look for the features you would like to have in your preferred juicer before eliminating the competition. Nevertheless, these four juicers stood out from the competition and would surely be worth checking out.

Best Citrus Juicers

Best Citrus Juicers

fzfqovd0yvds86pghvatzzknldsbcv4mmouidtmbg8ow42t1dwxlmkqvq4u0y9ac-f I simply love citrus fruit juice. Whenever I’m in the need for a refreshing drink, delicious orange juice or lemonade instantly come to mind. However, creating such a fresh drink wouldn’t be possible without having a citrus juicer in my kitchen.

Citrus juicers are handy kitchen appliances which are necessary to have especially if you are a fan of making your very own personalized citrus juice blends.

Best Citrus Juicers 2016

Here are the three top juicers on the market that will make your juicing experience a pleasurable one.

Black & Decker CJ525

The Black & Decker CJ525 is the cheapest citrus juicer you’ll find on the market. Nevertheless, it provides excellent juicing. Black & Decker never ceases to deliver high-quality products and this is no exception. With its easy-to-use design, this citrus juicer doesn’t give your arms much of a workout. The juicer doesn’t require a lot of pressure to be applied for the juicing process to take place.CJ525

Just place your orange, lime or grapefruit on the top of it and watch it do all the work. It comes with an adjustable pulp strainer so it can suit everyone’s preferences, and the capacity is about 1 liter/a quart, equal to 34 ounces.

It’s easily cleaned and isn’t at all bulky, making it perfect for those who like to juice a lot. It also comes with different sized cones which works with all kinds of citrus fruits.

Summing It Up: Highly recommended. Cheap, easy pulp adjustment and easy to use. Click here to read how the juicer fared when I tested it.

Hamilton Beach 932 Commercial Citrus Juicer

Another citrus juicer I recommend is the Hamilton Beach 932 Commercial Citrus Juicer. This is a manual citrus juicer, so if you’re the kind who gets tired quickly,HamiltonBeach_932_05 this may not be what you’re looking for. Otherwise, Hamilton Beach 932 is a good citrus juicer to buy as it’s very user-friendly, with a simple design that classic in looks yet remains quite effective.

The juicer has been designed to apply just the same amount of pressure you apply on it without having to worry about any off-axis force that could drip it over. It extracts all the juice efficiently without any traces of citrus oil, and the metal edges are smooth so you can’t get cut.

However,  this citrus juicer is pretty tall, making its storage a bit of a problem if you don’t have a cupboard that’s big enough. The other flaw I found was that the cleanup after juicing was a little of a chore. This citrus juicer didn’t have the best design but for $80 it really is a steal.

Summing It Up: Recommended unless you don’t have enough space to store it. Follow this link for a superb bargain on the Hamilton Beach 932.

Tribest CitriStar CS-1000

Tribest CitriStar CS-1000 may be a little expensive but you can be sure that it is a worthy investment. The Tribest CitriStar comes with a very powerful but silent motor that makes the citrus juicer do its job effectively. Ultimately, this motor also makes the juicer more durable. It’ll last for many years to come.sddefault

It comes with two reamers, one for smaller fruits such as limes and lemons and another one for larger fruits. It’s very easy to clean and use, not bulky at all so no problem with storage, and on the top of all, it extracts the juice from the fruit completely.

Downside? This citrus juicer doesn’t come with a pour spout and there’s no option for adjustment to stop pulp from  coming through, which can be a little problematic if you’re juicing for more than one person.

Summing It Up: No pulp adjustment and a little expensive but very powerful motor makes up for it. Recommended. Click here for more info regarding this stellar juicer and to purchase the juicer from Amazon.

Make sure to read carefully about the features of any citrus juicer before making a decision to purchase it. Think about what you need and whether the juicer offers it. Don’t be hasty! If you want to juice other types of fruits you may want to look at centrifugal juicers instead. If vegetables are on your juicing menu too, you’ll want to look at masticating juicers.

Best Champion Juicers

Best Champion Juicers

Champion juicers are often praised for being exactly what they’re named – champions. Champion only makes single auger masticating juicers, and there aren’t that many models to choose from. They don’t really need to have many models though, as the best masticating juicer they have will probably last you half a century.

Champion Juicer Reviews

Champion Commercial Juicer G5-PG710

Champion Juicer G5-PG710
No Champion juicer is going to win any award in beauty pageants; in fact, they all look the same in that strange, old-school, alien-like design. It doesn’t fit into any modern kitchen. To put it bluntly, this Champion juicer is plain ugly. In this compact little beast though, there’s a 1/3 horsepower motor that propels the cutting cone through anything and everything you push into the chute. This squeezes every last drop of juice from vegetables and fruits, preserving the taste and nutrients by doing it very slowly.

You can expect a motor so powerful to be really heavy. If you juice everyday and have space on the counter, it’s best to leave this guy out all the time. In fact, you can just sit there and juice all day without having to stop or pause at all. The pulp is pushed out continuously as you feed it; you can just place the juicer at the edge of the counter and position a large dumpster in front, then proceed to juice a mountain of fruits. Doesn’t it sound perfect for your fruit farm? No worries that the GE motor will overheat either.

Check out the price here.

Champion Household Juicer G5-NG-853S

Champion Household Juicer
A slightly smaller version of the Champion juicer, the G5-NG-853S while labeled as a household juicer, has exactly the same specifications as the commercial model: 1/3 horsepower GE motor, similar sized chute and works at the same speed. This model comes in a few colors, while the commercial one comes in a smokey color. In any case, they’re still not attractive juicers.

The Champion juicer is no cheap juicer, but as it will last decades and parts are replaceable, the price is worth it. Get it here.

Best Jack Lalanne Juicers

Best Jack Lalanne Juicers

Jack Lalanne, the late and legendary father of modern fitness, made some great juicers to compliment his fitness regime. Jack Lalanne juicers were more popular back in his time, but still very good juicers to buy in the current market, albeit slightly on the expensive side. The best Jack Lalanne juicers are centrifugal juicers, which are powerful and durable.

Jack Lalanne Juicer Reviews

Jack Lalanne PJP Power Juicer Pro

Jack Lalanne PJP Power Juicer Pro
This Jack Lalanne juicer sports a polished stainless steel look which would definitely go well with any kitchen that aims to impress. It has an extra large chute for you to dump your fruits without having to bother cutting them up. This I like very much. Lazy Mike kicking in. When the motor starts, the juicer doesn’t make much noise. In fact it is a rather subtle juicer. No worries about waking up your snoring girlfriend (gets whacked on the head by said girlfriend).

The blades and mesh filter are likewise made of stainless steel and has little trouble juicing hard fruits as well as leafy greens and wheatgrass (there’s a trick to juicing leafy greens and wheatgrass though especially if you want to maximize your juice output). Simply roll your leafy greens around the stalks or hard fruits and push them down the chute. And presto! Fresh fruit/veggie juice coming your way. Bear in mind though that you might need to stop and clean the mesh after 3-4 glasses of juice. This is because while the pulp collector has a large capacity, the mesh filter will clog up thus reducing the juice output. But otherwise, cleaning is a breeze and assembly is a piece of cake. Buy this model here.

Jack Lalanne JLSS Power Juicer Deluxe

Jack Lalanne JLSS Power Juicer Deluxe
This Jack Lalanne juicer is similar to the previous one in terms of aesthetics and functionality. On the upside, the non drip spout is a well thought out design as it enables you to stop the juice from flowing out while you change your glass /mug/pitcher.

It’s also super quiet and assembly of the juicer is a no brainier. However, the drain hole simply does not cater to the speed at which the motor can juice. In short, I feel that it is undersized. Either that or the motor performs too well. Buy this model here.

Jack LaLanne PJEB Power Juicer Express

Jack LaLanne PJEB Power Juicer Express
This Jack Lalanne juicer also caters for whole fruits at one go. A very attractive feature in my opinion. However, if you throw in a whole fruit, the time it takes to juice will be slightly longer than other models with smaller chute. Hence, it is always best to slice your hard fruits in half at the very least if you are impatient for the juice. This will probably also prolong the lifespan of the motor.

Sometimes the pulp that comes out can be rather wet. I guess it depends on the type of fruits or veggies that you juice. Pineapple pulp comes out wetter than that of apples and pears. This is not a masticating juicer after all. Overall this is a decent juicer well worth its money. Buy this model here.

Best Omega Juicers

Best Omega Juicers

If Captain James T Kirk and Spock were to have juicers in their Starfleet kitchen, the Omega juicers would be the perfect fit. These juicers not only look like miniature versions of Star Trek spacecrafts, their performance is at a galactic level too. Omega is famous for their masticating juicer, which is what you’ll love if you juice anything and everything, doubles as a coffee and spice grinder, triples as a food chopper, and even makes pasta!

Omega Juicer Reviews

Omega J8006

omega j8006
The Omega J8006 is a masticating juicer. This means that while it’ll take its sweet time to juice your fruits and veggies (hey the motor runs at a snail’s pace of 80 rpm), a majority of the vitamins, enzymes, etc will be retained in the juice. The best thing is that every last drop of juice will be squeezed out of the produce. No waste at all. You can even keep the juice refrigerated for up to a whopping 3 days without worrying about degradation. I tried it and the juice tasted just like it was freshly squeezed (albeit cold).

The chute is on the small side though, so you will need to cut your fruits and veggies into smaller pieces prior to juicing them. On the other hand, it can juice both soft and hard fruits, veggies and even wheatgrass. Just remember to juice the soft fruits first prior to the hard ones to prevent the remains from being clogged inside the juicer. It also doubles as a pasta maker, triples as a food processor (for garlic, onions, pureed food for tots, etc) and quadruples as a coffee and flour grinder, bringing the word multitasking to a whole new level. Buy this from Amazon.

Omega J8004

omega j8004
The Omega J8004 is basically the white and older version of the J8006. Its physical features, functionalities, pros and cons are the same. The only difference is the color (8004 comes with a clean white look while the 8006 comes in a flashy chrome look) and the price (8004 being slightly cheaper than the 8006). Buy this from Amazon.

Omega NC900HDC

Omega NC900HDC
This Omega juicer is the new and improved version of the former juicers reviewed above. By new and improved I mean that while the juicer retains the same perks as the former models, this model’s chute is definitely bigger. Less cutting is required and thus time is saved. You can dump in bigger chunks of veggies and fruits without having to worry about them ‘choking’ or being stuck. Apart from that, the pulp pressure adjustment has been tweaked, giving you more juice and drier pulp than before.

The downside? This model is much more expensive, sporting a beautiful chrome housing and sleek design. Buy this from Amazon.

Omega VRT350

omega vrt350
This is officially my girlfriend’s favorite of the lot. For one, this juicer has a very high yield for wheatgrass, it has a smaller footprint, a bigger chute than the J8004 and J8006 (saves one having to cut the fruits and veggies into little chunks) and the biggest perk of all; it comes with an auto cleaning system.

It has a plastic scraper that automatically rotates as you juice to reduce possibilities of clogging. The only downside to this Omega juicer is its limited features (it doesn’t extrude pasta, make baby food, grind coffee..etc..all the extra features that the models above sport) and apparently it produces more foam in the juice. Not quite sure why that happens but that’s not a major concern. The juice still retains its healthy enzymes due to the slow juicing. Buy this from Amazon.

Best Black & Decker Juicers

Best Black & Decker Juicers

Not interested in veggie juice? Want to get a simple juicer for orange juice? Anyone can start juicing with a Black and Decker juicer. Black & Decker makes some really good citrus juicers; electric ones, so you don’t have to worry about expending arm power. Another good thing about Black & Decker juicers is that they’re easy on the pocket.

Black & Decker Juicer Reviews

Black & Decker JE2200B

black decker JE2200B
This simple and rectangular looking Black & Decker juicer actually supports a 400 W motor to produce fresh juice within a matter of seconds for you. Not much brain power is required to operate this juicer as it comes with a simple on/off switch and a 300 ml container which also acts as a pitcher with a spout. This is a cheap and compact juicer that caters for both fruits and hard veggies.

The pulp container is integrated to the body of the juicer, thus saving a lot of kitchen counter top space for you. I seldom come across designs like these so kudos to the juicer designer for coming up with such a great idea. The only complaint I have is the chute. It is rather small and thus you will need to cut or slice your fruits into smaller pieces before stuffing them into the chute. Otherwise, this is a great and cheap product! Get it here.

Black & Decker CJ630 Electric Citrus Juicer

Black Decker CJ630
Every citrus juice fan should have this Black & Decker citrus juicer. Slice your fruits in half and press them on top of the reamer (reamers come in 2 sizes; big to cater for lemons and oranges and small for grapefruits. Also note the indigenous design where the big cone ‘sits’ on top of the small cone to save space) and the reamer will automatically spin to extract your juice up to a whooping 32oz at one go.

There is a pulp setting which allows you to control how much pulp goes into your drink. Pretty cool but there seems to be a slight design flaw as the amount of pulp collected doesn’t really reflect the pulp settings. A set of blades is placed below the reamer to ‘push’ the pulp through and reduce clogging.

However, the automatic reverse feature can be a little tricky and difficult to control. Perhaps it requires a certain amount of pressure on the reamer to control it? I’m not sure but will definitely require some time to master the auto reverse function. Also, the cord while retractable is a little short. I rather expected that for such a small device but still wish it were longer. All in all, this is a decent citrus juicer. Get it here.

Black & Decker CJ625

Black Decker CJ625
This Black & Decker juicer sports a yellow reamer instead of the former model’s white colored one and has a larger capacity at 34 oz hence the higher cost. Otherwise they are similar in functions. I don’t know why but the motor for this model tends to heat up faster. It might be a defective product (read, product, not model) but since my girlfriend who self proclaims to have sensitive fingers can withstand the heat, it’s not a major problem. Get it here.

Black & Decker CJ525

Honestly, I don’t understand why Black & Decker need to come up with so many models of citrus juicers when all of them perform quite impressively. For me, this is the best citrus juicer among all of them. This Black & Decker juicer has almost identical functions to the previous 2, meaning that it has the auto reverse function, pulp settings, a pair of blades to push the pulp through, double reamers big and small, nice rim to prevent dripping and has fairly easy cleanup; just rinse everything under running water immediately after use. Don’t leave the juicer overnight as the pulp stuck in the strainer will dry up and become hard to remove.  Get it here.

Best Breville Juicers

Now not everyone will be delighted with the price tag of a Breville juicer. Breville juicers are renowned for being top of the range, must-have machines for the juice freaks. And it’s true. If you’re serious about juicing or even contemplating to open a juice stall, you’ll want to invest in a Breville juicer.

Breville Juicer Reviews

Breville 800JEXL

Like the name suggests, this is the most elite and prestigious model of all the Breville juicers. And hey, it looks the part too with a die cast steel housing. With a 1000 watt motor, this Breville juicer runs at 2 speeds (low at 6,500 RPM for softer fruits and veggies and a whooping 13,000 RPM for harder ones).

There are worries that the high speeds will create heat and destroy nutrients in the fruits and veggies but the way I look at it, this is a give and take scenario. Sure, you lose some nutrients when juicing at higher speeds but you save on the oxidation problem that slow juicers face. And this juicer is THE Ferrari of cars, its juicing speed is amazing! Blink and your juice is ready! Buy this at Amazon.

Breville BJE200XL

Breville BJE200XL
If you want a compact version of the previous juicer, then get this model instead. It has the same functions as the previous one with 2 exceptions. This Breville juicer operates at only one speed; at a ferocious 14,000 RPM. Hey! Even simpler to use! In fact, this is the best juicer for home use.

Anything goes for this Breville juicer; from soft fruits and veggies to hardcore ones. Not a problem at all. It’s so strong that if you don’t hold the chute cover down, your kitchen ceiling might be splattered with juice. Also, instead of a stainless steel cutting disc, this one uses titanium. You can’t really notice the difference in performance between the two. They are definitely on par with each other. Buy this here at Amazon.

Breville JE98XL Juice Fountain

Breville JE98XL
This Breville juicer has been around for years and received great feedback. It’s a simple enough juicer to operate with 2 speeds (high at 12,000 RPM for hard fruits like apples, guavas, etc and low at 6,000 RPM for soft fruits and veggies like spinach, strawberries, etc). Extremely easy to assemble and disassemble as well. Plus it has a safety locking arm to prevent the cover from flying around.

The chute is also impressively big at 3” in circumference so you can just dump an apple or orange into the chute and let the juicer do its job. My girlfriend thinks this is my perfect excuse for not cutting fruits. You have a 1 liter jug to collect the juice and a pulp container as well. The pulp comes out quite dry (depending on the type of fruits or veggies being juiced) and normally I’d throw them away but my old man has successfully turned apple pulp into rather tasty jam. Buy this at Amazon.

Breville BJE510XL

Breville BJE510XL
For those who are more particular with juicing speeds for different fruits and veggies, this Breville juicer would be the perfect fit for you. It’s got all the same qualities as the previous models, except a range of 5 speeds to cater for celery and apples (hard), pineapples (semi hard), citrus (semi soft) and tomatoes (soft). Buy this at Amazon.

Best Cuisinart Juicers

Cuisinart juicers may be just another one of the culinary giant’s products, but after some research and testing I found a few noteworthy models. Overall, Cuisinart juicers are modern and attractive, perform well and priced reasonably. Not famously great juicers, but good juicers to buy, nevertheless.

Cuisinart CCJ-500 Pulp Control Citrus Juicer

Cuisinart CCJ-500
When I was a kid, Ma would get a pitcher of freshly squeezed lime juice on the breakfast table every morning. My Ma would roll in her grave if she knew how much easier it is to make citrus juice now. Anything from large grapefruit halves from teeny weeny lime halves are no problem for the juicing cone.

The reamer automatically reverses to maximize the output and I must say the output is impressive. I never knew I could get so much juice from a tiny lime! The juicer even squeezes all remaining juice from the pulp when you put the cover back on and press down. No doubt this is a juicer that performs beyond expectations (albeit a lot noisier than a manual reamer). Ma would have been proud.

Cuisinart CJE-1000
Visually attractive and sturdy looking, this Cuisinart juicer does what it is meant to do; that is to extract juice in style. Why you might ask? To be honest I am taken by the sleek design of the juicer with its illuminating control dial ring (it reminds me of Rey’s lightsaber), its simple lift and lock handles which have a sturdy grasp and its foam-reducing filter basket (who wants foam in their juice?).

Plus its housing is made from an impressive die-cast stainless steel material. Definitely a plus for those who have a liking for sophisticated looks. Performance wise, the Cuisinart centrifugal juicer which sports a 3″ chute allows you to insert roughly cut fruits (big sized chunks) and gives you an option of 5 speed settings.

With a powerful motor of 1000watt, the juicer has no problems juicing all kinds of fruits. But if you are a wheatgrass fanatic *cough* *girlfriend* *cough*, then this centrifugal juicer would not be suitable. You’d best be looking elsewhere. Otherwise, this juicer would definitely impress you. Buy this from Amazon.

Cuisinart CJE-500 Compact Juicer

Cuisinart CJE-500
For a small and compact juicer, this model comes with a pitcher that can hold up to 16 ounces of juice. The pulp container on the other hand can hold up to a massive 40 ounces. I simply insert a plastic bag into the container and throw it when I’m done. Lazy man’s ingenious trick.

It’s simple to operate with only one on/off button (as opposed to the previous model above) and it also comes with a fancy looking safety bar (it resembles a mini gym workout bar). Performance wise, there is nothing much to shout about. It does what it’s meant to do, juice fruits and veggies. I foresee it to be a hit with those who like miniature juice extractors but if you’re a frequent and heavy juicer, then this model might not be for you. Buy this from Amazon.
